I've been back from both vacations for over a week now. I got back from SLC shortly after the previous post, had a stint of jury duty, worked for two days, and then had fun on vacay numero dos. Thea, Gene, Eli, Teppei, and I met Tonia, Bonnie, and Tonia's friend Jeremy in Chi-town for some comic book convention collaboration. Good times were had by all, but it was a pretty draining trip - lots of driving, lots of walking amongst throngs and crowds of costumed and un-costumed convetion goers. Also, due to a distinct lack of funds, I found $9 to be my alotment for expenditures. lol Believe me, it was fun despite how I make it sound.

I had hoped to post sooner than this, but I was waiting for, as some(most) of you know, some good news. Alas, such good tidings have not yet reached my ears, but I still hope against hope. Yes, I'm waiting, STILL, to hear back from the prospective employers of whom I had the pleasure of interviewing with. In an unofficial capacity (through second-person channels of inquiry and divulgence), I *have* the job, but until I hear officially, as in getting an actual job offer, I feel I must not make any drastic moves. I have, however, notified my current employer that it was "highly probable" that I would be movin' on, so to speak - hopefully a safe move, but, while happy for me, I know this only stresses out those running the show (or those who would be running the show in lieu of one paul oatman) all the more. Wish me luck anyway.

Jury duty was nice. I can say that because I lucked out and only had to serve the better part of one day. The case I had been potentially assigned to ended in a plea bargain when the only eye witness faild to appear to court. Yippee. Nothin' like 25 dollars for 7 hours of work - oh yeah, and $1.30 for gas! lol Still, I have served my country and my country is undoubtably a better place for it. hehe

Hey, have you guys heard? Blogger is about to gain a bunch of new features - finally. The new things are in beta right now, but expect a revamp of the ol' blahg machine when they go live. That's right, new fonts, colors, templates, feeds (for those of you how do the whole RSS thing out there), and more. Sweets.

The waiting is not the hardest part.

Glad to get the full details on Jury duty. Now I know the truth!
