As usual, I've fallen off the bloggin' horse. However, I am here to tell you that I am climbing back on, saddle sores be damned.

For those of you out of the loop, so to speak, I've been taking tap dance lessons for a couple of months now, and they're freaking awesome. Tap dancing rules. Anyway, our teacher is primarily a ballet teacher and, as such, has many ballet recitals a year. Her upcoming show, Alice in Wonderland, was short on people, so she recruited Thea and me to be in it as well! Sadly, we don't get to tap in it, I guess 'cause it's a ballet, but whatever. :P Anyway, we're mainly in it to help with set changes, but we are in the final act, the 'jury scene' and we even have some dance steps to do. Therefore, I am proud to announce, I will soon be an official ballerina, or as Courtney's Dad likes to say, ballerinO. hehe There performances are Saturday, 4/29 and Sunday, 4/30. I'm not sure about the times, but I'll letcha guys no soon, kk? kk.

If you haven't noticed the updated links over there ( -> )in the link section, Anne-Marie and Pamela both have blogs! Way to go guys!! Anyway, check 'em out if you're interested. They both are quite active in there posting and they got some good stuff to say. Pam's got some great pictures on her site as well (and I'm not just saying that 'cause there's one of me, either, I *swear*).

Crap, I just looked up the dictionary definition of ballerina, and it's only a female term! Grrr. I guess I'll just be a danseur. /pout

You should actually rent "Stayin' Alive" the truly wonderfully awful sequal to "Saturday Night Fever." It was one fo my favorite movies as a child. It's totally lame, but I love it. I was a tap dancer back in my youth. I was an elegant elephant...just ask Cathy...she'll tell you. I won't be able to attend the ballet, unfortunately. I'll be in Wisconsin with Cathy. Ok...practice hard, but don't hurt yourself.

I loved the movie TAP too! I'll make Paul rent it!
I used to wish that I could tap dance so that I could be friends with the cool people in the movie. Somehow, I knew that I would never be that cool in reality though, and taking tapdanceing? I know know that I was right! I suck!
But it's super fun.
And being a Ballarina is fun too! Especially when you're real function is just to drag small children off the stage.

Oh, Paul, it's so cool that you finally get to realize your life-long dream of wearing a tutu in public. Mark that one off the life list! But seriously, you're a braver man than I and I salute you for it.
