So, I'm down to just four days left of work. Well, just a little over four - I have to go in today to do an interview, so let's call it four days and an hour. It's weird, but the closer it gets to the end, the harder it is to wanna go. Things that used to be slight nuisances or unpleasantries are quickly becoming hard to withstand. I know it's all in my head, and a result of nerves and stress over the new job, but knowing doesn't really make it better, it just helps me weather the storm. lol I sounds horrible it writing - it's not really THAT bad. I mean, I AM just talking about little things that have ALWAYS bugged me here - like people not getting along, the counters being too short, the bake case being a hassle and a half (it's WAAY too short), the bookfloor turning a blind eye to our suffering, you know, the usual idiosyncrasies. Also, it's entirely possible that I'm just trying to be manly or something and cover my sadness over moving away from all those grand people and great friends by becoming grumpy and mean in an effort to push them away. Hmmm. nah. =P

I'mma conclude with a picture I took in Utah of a certain red haired girl. Ariel had been having an idea for a photo shoot running around in her head for quite some time and decided that Thea would fit the bill wonderfully. I went along and took some pictures of my own. This one is probably the only good one. lol

Hmm... so it's harder to want to go, or harder to want to stay? Im confused.

I mean, all those annoying things seem like evidence to wanting to leave... but you said it was hard to want to go.

I KNOW! You just LIKE being grumpy!

It is always easier to push people away then to say goodbye isn't it?

Being an ass is easier than being sad...not that you're an ass, or sad, you're just Paul...Paul who takes really hot pictures of Thea...damn Thea, lookin' all Tim Burtonesque and stuff :)

In this month's exciting issue of the Endless, Delirium (as performed by Thea) examines a harsh but gothically beautiful landscape that someone had just left lying around, declares it sanitized, and deigns to sit down, with only a look of mild surprise that the rock supports her.

In other news, Fidel Castro is still alive, Francisco Franco is still dead, and the counter at B&N Portage is still 30 feet too short.

in response to paul's queries: 1)alas, the intricacies of dave's mormon wisdom escape me. in a nutshell, though, according to dave, mormonism, specifically polygamy, is an ideal lifestyle, especially for men. his motive behind telling me this was more of an effort on his part to convince me to come to a party after michigan had lost to notre dame rather than an overt attempt to convert me. 2) although she did cry (A LOT -- sorry, annie, but it's true), i was referring to her behavior, which, in her defense, was highly influenced by the amount of alcohol she consumed. i'm sure anyone who has been out with annie has a vague notion of what i'm referring to. let's just say she was trifle repetitive in her slurred utterances and tended to be rather vociferous in stating certain opinions, specifically her belief that intellectual history is boring -- you know, typical wedding reception conversation. :)
